screen movie recorder

if you click on the website info that comes with the program, you can reach detailed documentation for all of their software including this one. it's really quite simple: the menu bar at the top of your screen by the monitor, sound adjustment, etc., icons contains a new icon, a green button. if you click on it and hold, you can choose start recording. you then click and drag over the area of the screen you want to record. it starts recording and the button icon turns red. if you click on it, you can choose stop recording. it processes and then the new movie appears wherever you told it to in preferences. also in the preferences that first pop up, you can choose whether you want the recording to follow the mouse instead of clicking and dragging out a fixed area as described above. it's shareware and costs around $18.00 in US currency (paypal). the free download appears to work fine before you make the payment so I'm not sure how long you have to test it. I wish it could record sound (voiceover and screen clicks), but otherwise, it's pretty fantastic for the price.
