SimpleMovieX is a replacement for QuickTime Pro.
It lets you edit any movie that QuickTime can read.
Cut, Copy and Paste between movie clips to build your movie, then export it in any QuickTime supported format.

* MPEG2 only if you have QuickTime MPEG2 component installed. Only program stream with mp2 audio.
MPEG editing is fast, because it is done without reencoding. Edition is frame-accurate if the movie is saved as QuickTime mov, or GOP accurate (Group of pictures, represents 0.5 to 0.7 seconds) if the movie is exported as MPEG.
** SimpleMovieX does not encode MPEG ! MPEG export is done through splitting and joining existing files
*** Free trial version is unlimited in time and functionality, but delays saving by 60 seconds.
