PTMac is a front end for creating panoramas using the powerful Panorama Tools package. The user is taken through the panorama creation process one step at a time with a logical interface. Using PTMac, the user has total control over the process giving the most accurate results available. Users can make 360 x 180 degree panoramas, cylindrical and rectilinear panoramas from nearly any lens type including fisheye. Panoramas can be created from single or multiple rows of images. Supported input image formats include TIFF, PICT, JPEG and PNG. The finished panorama can be saved in any of the input file types plus Quicktime cylindrical and cubic, multi layer Photoshop (one layer per input image) for easy editing in Photoshop and multi-image masked TIFF for editing in MacGimp. Color and brightness differences between the images can be automatically minimized with the check of a box as well as lens distortions common in wide angle lenses. Quicktime cubic and cylindrical panoramas can also be created with PTMac.

* Improved 16 bit stitching support - requires the PanoTools.bundle 2.7KK24 (included in download)
* Much improved Panorama Editor - includes sliders to set panorama type and horizontal and vertical fields of view
* Control point fine tune - automatically fine tunes the location of control points (works best on non-fisheye images)
* Wizard for new users to make creating first panoramas easier
* Simplified interface - Preview is moved to the Create Panorama tab
* Improved masking system - images from 8mm lenses can be directly sent to Enblend without manually masking the images. The extra canvas area created when 'over-cropping' images is not included in the transformed images.
* Recommends optimal panorama size - Now recommends the best panorama size to keep the full resolution of your input images in the final panorama
* Panorama dimensions are now set in degrees for most editing and only during the creation step is the user asked to specify the pixel dimensions of the panorama (PTMac calculates the second pixel dimension based on the panorama's fields of view)
* Optimizer can be run from the top men or by a command keystroke
* New Arrange button to make setting the initial image locations easy
* Creates QTVR version 2 cylinders in addition to cubic QTVRs. The cylindrical QTVRs can now be opened in third party applications such as LiveStage Pro.
* Make Cylindrical added on the Utilities tab to make cylindrical QTVRs from single image cylindrical panoramas (can convert PanoScan cylindrical panoramas to cylindrical QTVRs)
* Improved crop tool - crop circle size can be adjusted by grabbing anywhere on the crop circle and dragged
* Reads EXIF information when available to help determine source image field of view
* Can utilize LensFix Photoshop plug-in lens database for distortion settings. You can also save distortion settings from PTMac for use in LensFix
* Users get a new 15 day fully functional trial period (upgrade is free to registered users)
