Sente is a tool for people who need to stay current with the published literature in their field, including scientists, physicians, instructors and students. Sente (pronounced SEN-tay) has an intuitive, iTunes-like interface that makes academic literature searches easier and more productive than ever before. And Sente's integration with MS Word enables users to insert citations and bibliographies into their documents as they are writing.

Sente can search hundreds of data sources, including PubMed, Agricola, various Ovid databases (e.g., Books in Print, CAB Abstracts, Current Contents, Dissertation Abstracts, EMBASE and PsychINFO -- all by subscription) as well as hundreds of more...libraries around the world. Search results typically include abstracts, and they are easily reviewed and organized within Sente using filters and an iTunes-like browser interface.

Sente also updates the results of every search each day so that you can easily stay current with new results. This means that you will learn about important new papers as soon as they appear in any of the databases you search. And the results will remain available until you find the time to review them, even if that happens when you are not connected to the Internet.

Sente comes with a number of pre-defined bibliography styles (e.g., Vancouver, APA, Chicago, Science, etc.) as well as an easy-to-use bibliography format editor that lets you modify the supplied formats or create your own.

* New 'Validate Library' command to check (and fix) the internal consistency of the Sente library. This is useful to detect problems like references that have been removed from all collections, but for some reason not removed from the master list of references (references like these will be placed in a 'orphan' collection for review and possible deletion).
