MovCaptioner Publisher's Description:
Make your QT movies and podcasts accessible! MovCaptioner allows you to add captions to your QT movies and make transcripts of your videos or podcasts as quickly as you can type! MovCaptioner keeps repeating a segment of the movie until you are done typing what you hear. Just hit the Return key and it will save your caption and automatically advance to the next few seconds of the movie, allowing you to zip through your captioning tasks in no time flat. You don't need to be a QuickTime guru, either. The caption track is added automatically with the click of a button. And clicking the Transcript button compiles all the captions into one concise text file. If you can type, you can make your movies accessible! Makes embedded QT text tracks, SMIL captioned movies, Flash CS3 captions, SubRip SRT, SubViewer SUB, Spruce STL, SAMI (for Windows Media), and transcripts with either timestamps or in paragraph form. And now, if you already have transcripts of your movie, you can import them into MovCaptioner to set as captions.

- Simpler interface. Output options moved to the Export menu, leaving only Editing buttons under the caption list box
- You can now add line breaks wherever you want by typing a pipe "|" character (pipe is not displayed in final export)

- Can now create Subtitle (.SUB) files and SubRip (.SRT ) files which are supported by Google Video, DivX, DVD, and other video formats

- Caption listbox will now get wider and taller when you make the MovCaptioner window larger making it easier to read captions
- Cut, Copy, Paste, and Clear are now functional under the Edit menu

- You can now use the Preferences window to set the maximum number of characters each caption should have when importing text

- Now fully compatible with Leopard
- Auto-check feature makes sure timecode is in sequential order before creating final files
- Can now drag and drop movies into the movie window instead of using the Load Movie button
- Flash XML files will now properly display text attributes (font, color, background color, and size) in the Flash movie
- Eliminated a bug with the movie duration that would sometimes write a false duration in the project files
- Text imported in paragraph form will automatically separate sentences into separate captions
- Set Timecode button can now be displayed via menu item under the Import menu at any time
- Height of the text field in both embedded captions and SMIL captions can now be adjusted to 20, 40, 60, 80, or 100 pixels
- You will no longer need to manually adjust the Repeat Interval to enter the last caption of your movie. This is done automatically.

Version 1.4
- Can now directly edit both the time code and captions in the listbox
- New "Overlap" button extends the beginning and end of an interval by 1 second to pick up words that may get cut off
- Duration of the movie is now displayed next to the Current Time so you'll know how far from the end you are
- When removing a caption track from a movie, MovCaptioner will automatically reload the movie
- Fixed a crash problem on the application startup caused by recent projects not being where they were before
- No longer displays directories under the Recent Projects menu item
- Cue Next button properly displays the cued timecode where the next caption will begin

Version 1.2
- MovCaptioner now saves project files with an application-specific icon and extension (.mcpt), which can be opened by double-clicking
or by dragging onto the MovCaptioner application icon.

suppress the alert you get in QT Player when using the Preview Captions button
- Open Recent is now available under the File menu. It will remember your last projects you opened.
