Knapsack Publisher's Description:
Knapsack is the personal travel organizer for Mac OS X Leopard. Version 1.1 is the first major update and offers many user-friendly features including map pins with location postcards, a flexible itinerary planner, trip checklists, two-way iCal sync, and professional-looking printed itineraries.
Stick a pin on the map
Just as you might stick a pin on a map to mark a spot that you've visited, you can use the map in Knapsack to place pins that represent locations from your trips. Click on any pin to see a postcard from that location
Create an itinerary for your next trip
With the flexible itinerary planner you can build an itinerary with as much or as little detail as you need. Shuffle activities between days or even rearrange entire days. When you return from your trip, add notes about what you liked or didn't like to create a memory of your trip
Use checklists to store all of your to do items
As you plan your trip, use checklists to keep track of all your unfinished business. Create packing lists, shopping lists, or lists of all the things that you need to do before you leave. Check each item off as you complete it to track your progress. Never forget your toothbrush or camera again.
Sync your itinerary and checklists with iCal
Sync your trip with a new or existing iCal calendar. Update your activities or to do items in iCal or Knapsack and the changes are immediately synchronized. Take your trip with you on your iPhone or other PDA and make changes while you're traveling. When you return and sync with iCal, your changes are automatically made in Knapsack. Alternatively, publish your trip to iCal with a one-way export.
Print your itinerary and go
Print a professional-looking itinerary to take with you. While you're at it, print a copy to leave behind for family and friends. You can even email your itinerary to anybody around the world.
What's new in this version:
* New feature: iCal integration allowing two-way sync and one-way export with new or existing iCal calendars. Users can now create trips in Knapsack and sync with iCal, iPhone, .Mac, and anything that syncs calendar events or to do items with iCal. Changes made while traveling will sync back into Knapsack upon return.
* New feature: Dragging activities to a text editor now includes the complete activity name and details text. This was requested by users to allow copying trip details into a blog or other application.
* Deleting an empty trip no longer prompts for confirmation
* Fixed issue with importing trips from read-only media (like a CD or DVD)
* Fixed issue with importing trips that had been downloaded via Safari
* Fixed issue where exporting a trip and replacing an existing exported trip file could fail
* Fixed issue where the Add button could not be clicked in the Add Days sheet (pressing return worked, though)
* Fixed issue where adding details to Day 1 would block details from being added to any other day
* Fixed issue where pasting a license key into the registration panel could sometimes fail to validate if the licensee name contained non-standard characters
