InstaPaint is a Microsoft Paint clone for OS X - in other words, a basic picture editor that even kids will find easy to use.
It's not often that a Microsoft product gets remade for OS X but InstaPaint is more or less a version of MS Paint which comes by default with Windows.Be warned that it's not quite as simple as Paint, but it follows a similar pick-up-and-paint format and is easy to learn with just a little perseverance.
InstaPaint is an extremely simple app – don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s a photo editor or replacement for an image editor like Photoshop. You've got a toolbox which allows you to use a brush, rubber, color palette, area selector and little more than that. In other words, InstaPaint won't appeal to any serious artist but it could be useful to keep your kids happy for a while or simply if you want to doodle a few minutes away.
You can save your InstaPaint masterpieces in most major formats, also you can select one default save format (.PNG).
Simple to use and easy to get going, InstaPaint is the blank canvas that will take you back to kindergarten.
