Works exactly as you would hope, registration brings good customizable file copy destinations, copies everything including playlists out of the unnecessarily difficult iPod storage system

And cross-platform too...
PodUtil is an excellent utility, and one of the very few to support multiple platforms. Really helps keeping my Mac and PCs up to date (particularly as they're 10 miles apart). Registration brings more options and is worth it, although the free version is still very capable.
