Voice Remote Description:
Voice Remote allows you to control iTunes with simple voice commands. For example, you can say play 'favorite artist name' to play tracks by your favorite artist.
Voice Remote uses the speech recognition capabilities of Mac OS X and builds a personalized list of commands based on the songs, artists, and playlists in your Tunes library.
Using Voice Remote you can search and play tracks in your iTunes library using these commands:
- Play artist
- Play song
- Play album
- Play playlist
- Play 'name'
Voice Remote also includes convenience commands to control iTunes playback. For example when track playback is paused you can say "Start playing" to start playing or "Last Track" to play the last track.
Version 1.1 contains significant improvements to the user interaction. Now Voice Remote:
- Starts listening immediately after launch
- Listens until a command is recognized
- Listens while in the background
- Resumes listening after playback of the last track in search results
NOTE: Speech recognition works best in a quiet environment. Voice Remote does not listen for commands while tracks are playing. Speech recognition automatically resumes listening when playback completes or is interrupted using the pause control in iTunes or on your keyboard. After you hear the listening tone you can speak another request.
ATTENTION: In order to use this app you MUST configure your system speech preferences and calibrate your microphone. Please follow the instructions provided at first launch to configure the recommended settings. The instructions are also available in Help > Voice Remote Help > Configure Speech Recognition Preferences.
